Mrs. Lucy Ann Moorhead Coffman, 70, of Holcomb, passed away Wednesday, November 3, 2021 at Baptist Memorial Hospital – Golden Triangle in Columbus.  She was born March 21, 1951 in Grenada to Samuel Lauren "Red" and Mabel Martin Moorhead.  Lucy provided child care in her home for many young children through the years and never considered it a job – it was her ministry.  She was loved and adored by the many children she cared for through the years.  Lucy was a devoted member of Holcomb Baptist Church where she was involved in the Adult Choir and many other church activities.  While caring for others was always her top priority, she also enjoyed gardening in her spare time.

A service to celebrate her life will be held at 3:00 PM Saturday, November 6, 2021 at McKibben and Guinn Funeral Service in Grenada with Rev. Kevin Tribble officiating.  Interment will follow in the Holcomb Cemetery.  Family and friends will gather from 1:00 PM until service time Saturday at McKibben and Guinn.

Survivors include four sons, Steve Coffman of Tupelo, Scotty Coffman(Adriana) of Starkville, Josh Coffman(Marion) of Holcomb and Jason Coffman(Alexis) of Grenada; one sister, Mary Craig Smith of Memphis; and eight grandchildren, Colton, Dawsyn, Remington, Camryn, Lucas, Lawson, Grace and Emma.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Glynn Coffman.

Pallbearers will be Lensy Allen, Jamy Allkins, Andy Brasher, Shane Correro, Milton Kilgore and Rusty Mims.

Memorials may be directed to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or LeBonheur Children's Medical Center.
