Miss Lyda Lee Williams, an icon and lifelong member of the Gore Springs Community, passed away Wednesday, November 18, 2020 in Grenada at the age of 84.  She was born May 17, 1936 in Memphis.  She was a faithful member of Gore Springs Baptist Church and had gone on numerous mission trips with the church through the years.  Lyda was also an active member of the Gore Springs Community Club and the Gore Springs Homemakers Volunteer Club.

Lyda will be laid to rest alongside her family at 3:00 PM Friday, November 20, 2020 at the Pleasant Grove Cemetery with Dr. Lowell Ingram officiating.

While Lyda leaves no immediate family, she is survived by a host of friends and neighbors who loved her and she dearly loved.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Bessie Lee Williams; aunt, Alice Williams and two uncles, Lewis and King Williams.
