Mr. Everett Lynn Welch, Sr., 59, of Holcomb, passed away May 27, 2026. He was born January 15, 1967 in Helena, AR. Lynn worked in maintenance most of his life and most recently served as a Baptist minister and school bus driver with the Grenada School District. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting and gardening in his free time. Lynn also enjoyed preparing meals for his loved ones and was an excellent cook. He especially loved his dogs, Chubs, Hank and Molly. Above all, Lynn loved the Lord and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, June 8, 2026 at McKibben and Guinn Funeral Service in Grenada with Bro. Kenneth Taylor officiating and his son, Everett Welch, delivering the eulogy. Interment will follow in the Leflore Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service Monday at McKibben and Guinn.

Survivors include his wife, Phyllis Welch; mother, Mary Welch Hacker of Winthrop, Arkansas; sons, Everett Lynn Welch, Jr.(Karen) of Holcomb, and Will Goff(Tiffany) of Grenada; sister, Becky Gorman(Nathan) of Arkansas and nine grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father, Bobby Gene Welch and his beloved grandmother, Flora Welch.

Cotton Marter, Chucky Snowden, Kenneth Taylor, Randy Welch, Mark Wolfe and Dustin Worsham will serve as pallbearers.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Magnolia Mutts Rescue.
