Mrs. Mable Irene Chapman Martin, 81, of Holcomb, passed away Saturday, February 16, 2019 at her residence. She was born April 3, 1937 in Gore Springs to Eula Washington and Courtney Cunningham Chapman. She had worked for over 50 years at Pennaco Hosiery and was a devoted member of the Sparta United Methodist Church.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, February 19, 2019 at McKibben and Guinn Funeral Service with Rev. Steve Livingston and Rev. Rick Shepherd officiating. Interment will follow in the Sparta Cemetery. Family and friends will gather one hour prior to the service Tuesday at McKibben and Guinn.

Survivors include one daughter, Helen Bright of TX; grandson, Joshua Bright of TX; one sister, Sue Clark of Holcomb; two brothers, Robert Earl Chapman of Surprise, AZ and Veldon Allen Chapman of Holcomb.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Frank Martin; two sisters, Lily Mae Perkins and Janie Wood; and two brothers, Mardis Chapman and E.W. Chapman.

Pallbearers will be Michael Clark, Marshall Estes, Charlie Martin, Cliff Martin, Taylor Martin and Walter Martin.
