Mrs. Margaret Julia Brown Burris, 94, of Grenada, passed away Monday, July 17, 2017 at her residence. She was born July 24, 1922 in Calhoun City to Franklin James and Alma Hamby Brown. She had worked for many years as a bank teller and was an avid artist. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Grenada.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, July 20, 2017 at McKibben and Guinn Funeral Service with Rev. Tom Potter officiating. Interment will follow in the Crossroads Cemetery in Calhoun County. Family and friends will gather one hour prior to the service Thursday at McKibben and Guinn.

Survivors include one son, Robert Wayman "Bob" Drake and his wife, Richelle of Sacramento, CA; one granddaughter, Deanna Seeba and her husband, Dave of Sacramento, CA; two beautiful great-grandchildren, Klara and Fred Seeba and a nephew, Clarence Brown and family of Tennessee.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, George William Burris and six brothers.
