Mr. Marshall Liddell Smith, 82, of Carroll County, passed away Monday, March 6, 2017 at his residence. He was born May 27, 1934 in Carroll County to Luther Lonzo and Inos Montgomery Smith. He was a member of Hillside Baptist Church, a US Army Veteran and had worked as a diesel mechanic and farmer most of his life.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, March 9, 2017 at McKibben and Guinn Funeral Service with Rev. Leon Holly and Rev. Jerry McNeer officiating. Interment will follow in the Moore Memorial Cemetery in Carroll County. The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 PM Wednesday evening and one hour prior to the service Thursday at McKibben and Guinn.
Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Helon L. Smith; one daughter, Marsha Lee(Don) of Linn; one son, Liddell Smith of Bartlett, TN; one sister, Josie Smith of Portland, OR and three grandchildren, Shelby Lee, Heather Lee and Don Lee, Jr.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, James Alton Smith.
