Mrs. Mary Anna Martinez Chapman, 84, of Holcomb, who was a long-time resident of Corpus Christi, TX, passed away Friday, September 9, 2022 at her residence.  She was born June 7, 1938 in New York to Gonzales and Gertrude Krabel Martinez.  Mrs. Chapman enjoyed a long career as an educator in Texas teaching to the age of 71.  She was a devout Catholic and will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Memorial service plans are private.

Survivors include a son, Robert E. Chapman of Corpus Christi, TX; two sisters, Patricia Phalen of New York and Helen Chapman of Holcomb; four grandchildren, Megan Michelle Chapman, Michael Chapman, Robert Chapman and Adam Chapman and a host of great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Jeanette Coyne and Claire Martinez; and four brothers, Tommy Coyne, Jimmy Coyne, Martin Martinez and Richard Martin.
