Mary Jo Fillyaw, 64, of Holcomb, passed away Thursday, March 10, 2016 at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Grenada. She was born April 21, 1951 in West Virginia to Mr. and Mrs. Garrett Johnston. She was a retired Store Manager with Scott Petroleum and a member of Holcomb Baptist Church where she was active in the Sanctuary Choir. She enjoyed traveling and vacationing. One of her favorite pastimes was crocheting hats and booties for newborns at the local hospital.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday, March 13, 2016 from the Chapel of McKibben and Guinn Funeral Service in Grenada with Rev. Kevin Tribble officiating. Interment will follow in the Sparta Cemetery near Holcomb. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until service time Sunday at the funeral home.

Survivors include her husband, Joseph Ray Fillyaw of Holcomb; two daughters, Melissa Black and her husband, Jay of Florence, AL and Lori Fillyaw of Enid; four sons, Michael Jacks and his wife, Bobbie of Grenada, David Jacks and his wife, Ginny of Holcomb, James Copley and his wife, Lucy of Marysville, OH and Joey Copley of West Virginia; one sister, Carole Sue Castle of West Virginia; fourteen grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and one son, Stephen Jacks.

Pallbearers will be Tyler Black, Travis Copley, Stephen Crouch, Kevin Harris, Dillion Jacks and Jason Whitsell. Honorary Pallbearers will be Curry Little and Robert Smith.
