Mrs. Mary Jo Mitchell, 79, of Grenada, passed away Wednesday, June 22, 2016 at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Grenada. She was born June 29, 1936 in Baldwyn to John and Maude Cole Dillard. She was a member of First Baptist Church – Grenada and retired as a secretary with the Grenada School District after working there for over 35 years.
Funeral services will be held at Noon on Saturday, June 25, 2016 with Rev. Rickey Harris officiating. Interment will follow in the Grenada Memorial Garden. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until service time Saturday at the funeral home.
Survivors include one daughters, Sharon Mitchell Harrell and her husband, Charles of Jacksonville, FL; three sons, Mitch Mitchell, Craig Mitchell and Randy Mitchell, all of Grenada; three grandchildren, Jason Mitchell, Charles Harrell, Jr., and Hannah Mitchell; three great-grandchildren, Heath Harrell, Taylor Harrell and Maddie Mitchell.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Max Mitchell and a son, Mike Mitchell.
