Obituary

After a well-lived life, Mary Ann Moss of Gore Springs, MS, went to her heavenly home on March 27th, 2025 at the age of 84.  She was born February 15th, 1941, the daughter of the late James Russell Parker and Dallie Mae Robison. She was known for her strong will, unwavering determination, perseverance, resilience, and love and support for her family and community. Along with her husband, she was a member of Providence Baptist Church

Mary Ann was a truly unique individual.  Her spirit was always ready to carve out her place in the world. She found joy in riding her Harley, proudly representing one of the first female motorcycle clubs in the country, Leather and Lace, and engaging in numerous volunteer activities with that organization. Her passion for the Patriot Guard Riders was unwavering.

In her youth, she loved competing in "Western Pleasure" with her favorite horses, "Southern Dude" and "Soap Sudsy Lady".  She also enjoyed hunting arrowheads at the lake bottom, hunting, and fishing.

Her love for nature was evident in her green thumb, which she used to grow a variety of flowers and plants. She took great joy in 'piddling' around the yard, proudly showing off the fruits of her labor, especially to her daughters.

Mary Ann was a woman of strong values, and her warm and friendly nature endeared her to many. She had a knack for making friends wherever she went, especially on her weekly shopping excursions.

Mary Ann and her husband, Kenny, shared 43 precious years together. His unwavering support was a constant in her life, and her love for her family was evident in every moment they shared.

It's impossible to fully express the void left by Mary Ann's passing. However, her legacy will endure in the hearts of her loved ones. Her strength, perseverance, and resilience will continue to inspire us.

Survivors include her husband, Kenny Moss; daughters, Tammy Hutchinson (Patrick Hutchinson), Beth Brown (Tom Brown), Jamie Young (Jonathan Young), Kelli Dotson (Jason Dotson); stepson, Forrest Moss (Christin); grandchildren, Colby Little, Fonda Little, Mallory French, Leigh Ann French, Carmen Scarafiotti, Jessica Smith, Annie Kankey, Ryan Young, Drake Dotson, Riley Dotson, Zack Dotson, Lawson Dotson and Kemp Dotson; seven great-grandchildren with four on the way along with her sweet little dog, Buddy.
