Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Smith Williamson, 100, of Southaven, passed away Wednesday, November 16, 2022 at her residence.  She was born October 8, 1922 in Calhoun County to John Jeff and Vera Aleath Chandler Smith.  She was a devoted homemaker and enjoyed quilting, gardening and tending to her house plants.  Mrs. Williamson delighted in spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved her.  She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church in Horn Lake.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday, November 19, 2022 at the Smith Cemetery in Tallahatchie County.

Survivors include her daughter, Sandy Downer of Southaven; two sisters, Betty Ingram of Eupora and Rachel Lott of Holcomb; four grandchildren, Christy Wilson(Jerry), Michael Parker(Nicolett), David Parker(Mary) and Sam Simmons and twelve great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ivy Williamson; daughter, Kaye Heath; sisters, Christine Hood, Sarah Alldread and Virginia Peterson; and brothers, Kenneth Smith, Bobby Smith and Calvin Smith.
