Mrs. Maxine White Cummings, 82, of Grenada, passed away Monday, November 23, 2020 at Baptist Memorial Hospital – Golden Triangle in Columbus.  She was born August 13, 1938 in Dublin, GA to Earl and Lilly Pearl Manus White.  Maxine had worked as a waitress and private caregiver for many years and will be remembered for the strong work ethic she possessed in always doing her best.  She was a loving and giving mother to her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held at 12:00 noon Saturday, November 28, 2020 at the Bear Creek Cemetery in Attala County with Rev. John Goldwater officiating.

Survivors include five children, John Cummings(Teresa) of Duck Hill, Billy Cummings(Susan) of Grenada, Phillip Cummings(Lori) of Carmack, Theresa Munson(C.J.) of Grenada and Sandy Cummings of Grenada; one brother, Wayne White(Betty) of High Springs, FL; ten grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 46 years, Irving Hugh Cummings and a brother, Wendell White.

Pallbearers will be Jake Allbritton, Jamie Allbritton, Jonathan Cummings, Keith Cummings, C.J. Munson and James Phillips.
