Mrs. Melba Lee Davis Dees, 84, of Grenada, passed away Monday, September 11, 2017 at the University of Mississippi Medical Center – Grenada. She was born August 13, 1933 in Money to Henry A. and Rosie Tanksley Davis. She was a devoted homemaker and will be fondly remembered for the delicious meals she lovingly prepared for her family. She was an expert gardener and enjoyed fishing in her spare time. She was a member of Minter City Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, September 14, 2017 at McKibben and Guinn Funeral Service with Rev. Bob O'Neal officiating. Interment will follow in the Grenada Memorial Garden. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until service time Thursday at McKibben and Guinn.

Survivors include two daughters, Margaret McIntyre of Grenada and Rhonda Rogers (Mark) of Hernando; two sons, Clint Dees (Debbie) of Inverness and Mark Dees of Schlater; one sister, Helen Tingle of Grenada; six grandchildren, Greg Dees, Mark A. Dees, Jr., Shannon Haddon, Lauren McIntyre, Austin McIntyre and Shane Rogers; and six great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, George C. Dees; two sisters, Verla Mae Pinion and Opal Blakemore and two brothers, Paul Davis and Henry Davis.
