Sgt. Michael Derlin Taylor, 40, of Grenada, passed away December 1, 2018. He was born in Charleston, Mississippi on March 13, 1978 to Larry and Frances Taylor. He attended school in Charleston, MS and upon graduation joined the Mississippi Army National Guard. He served proudly for 20 years along with two tours to Iraq. Michael honorably served our country as a member of the 155 ^th Det 1H Co, 106 ^th BSB.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, December 9, 2018 at McKibben and Guinn Funeral Service with Rev. David Taylor officiating. Interment will follow at Shady Grove Cemetery in Cascilla. The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon until service time Sunday at McKibben and Guinn.

Survivors include his wife, Kalena Taylor of Grenada; daughter, Mikayla Taylor of Grenada; two sons, Dominic Taylor and Aiden Taylor, both of Grenada; his parents, Frances Taylor and Retired Sergeant First Class Larry Taylor of Water Valley; and a large loving immediate and extended family.

Pallbearers will be Mike Asbury, Kevin Banks, Michael Broadnax, Tommy Havens, Sterling Mays, Cody Murphree and Gary Tillman.
