Michael David Chidlow, 80, of Grenada MS, passed away at home on April 3rd, 2023, surrounded by loved ones.
Michael was born to Alfred and Edna Chidlow on August 7th, 1942, in Derby, England. The night he was born, he and his mother had to be put under the hospital bed because the town was being bombed during WW2. He moved to Grenada in 1995 when he married his beloved Diane, and together they opened Orleans Bistro in downtown Grenada. Sharing a love of travel, Michael and Diane vacationed all over the World. As a Naturalized Citizen, Michael also had a deep love of his new Country. He and Diane often travelled across America in an RV together making friends at every stop. Michael was a Renaissance Man, lover of books, good conversation, and fellowship with family and friends; a true English Gentleman through and through.
Michael is survived by his loving wife, Diane Chidlow, and his daughters, Georgina Chidlow-Irvin (Bryan), Diana Bland (Bubba), Vickie Lewis (Roger), Kristina Lower Ballard, Stephanie Bell Griffin (Kevin), Mandy Bell Eaton (Brenon), and grandchildren, Hunter Lewis, Alex Ballard, Austin Wileman, Ren Rucker, Dawson Ballard, Bailey Eaton, Katelyn Griffin, Kameron Griffin, Harrison Griffin and Silas Griffin. His also survived by his brother Keith Chidlow (Marion), nieces Jenna and Lisa, all of Sydney Australia.
Michael loved his family more than anything in this world and his passing has already left a huge void in our hearts. The family would like to thank Brandi Holland, Dr. Joseph Roberts, AMG North Mississippi, and Accent Care Hospice for their wonderful care of Mike and Diane.
Memorial service plans will be announced at a later date.
