Mr. Mike Franklin, 62, of Grenada, passed away suddenly and unexpectedly Saturday, August 7, 2021 at the University of Mississippi Medical Center – Grenada.  He was born April 3, 1959 in Pascagoula to Adrion Coats and Wannette Mars Franklin.  Mike was a retired truck driver and a Harley Davidson Motorcycle enthusiast.  Traveling, watching NASCAR and camping were among his favorite hobbie, but what he loved most was spending time with his family – especially his grandchildren.

A service to celebrate his life will be held at 3:00 PM Tuesday, August 10, 2021 at McKibben and Guinn Funeral Service.  Interment will follow in the Shady Grove Cemetery at Cascilla.  The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 PM Monday evening and one hour prior to the service Tuesday all at McKibben and Guinn.

Survivors include his wife, Debra Harris Franklin; daughter, Ashley Franklin Duke(Bradley) of Grenada; son, Michael Coats Franklin(Ashley) of Grenada; parents, Adrion and Wannette Franklin of Denniston, KY; sister, Lynette Atkins of Grenada; three brothers, Richard Franklin of Denniston, KY, Larry Franklin of Scobey and Garry Franklin of Cascilla; five grandchildren, Alyssa Duke, River Franklin, Adley Franklin, Madelyn Franklin and Case Duke; and a special niece, Jamie Harris of Texas.

He was preceded in death by a nephew, B.J. Bonner.
