Monroe Keith Beardain Jr., age 59, of Enid, Mississippi, passed away on May 7th, 2026 surrounded by those who loved him.
Monroe was a devoted father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He was known for his strength, resilience, and the deep love he had for his family. He lived his life with determination and left a lasting impact on everyone who knew him. Whether through his words, his actions, or simply his presence, Monroe made people feel cared for, supported, and loved.
Above all, Monroe cherished his family. His greatest joy came from the time he spent with them and the memories they created together. He shared an especially deep and undeniable bond with his granddaughter, Avery Monroe Beardain, who was truly the light of his life. She brought him endless pride, happiness, and love, and the way he loved her was something everyone around him could clearly see. Their bond was incredibly special and will forever remain one of the most treasured parts of his legacy.
Monroe chose to maintain a respectful and supportive relationship with his former wife, Marilyn Lawson, centered on their children. She stood beside him through his sickness, reflecting the deep respect they shared and his unwavering commitment to family.
He is survived by his son, Monroe Keith Beardain III of Oxford, Mississippi; his daughter, Beverly Grace Beardain of Oxford, Mississippi; his granddaughter, Avery Monroe Beardain; his sister, Angela Beardain (Bart Haltom) of Grenada, Mississippi; and his brother, Frank Weir (Freda Weir) of Tillatoba, Mississippi; his nieces, Lauralee Beardain and Lexi Ray Regan; and multiple beloved great-nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Joyce Weir; his father, Monroe Keith Beardain; and his stepfather, Ray Weir, who lovingly raised him as his own.
Visitation will be held at McKibben & Guinn Funeral Service on May 9th, 2026 from 11:00AM to 1:00PM.
Funeral services will be held at McKibben & Guinn Funeral Service on May 9th, 2026 at 1:00PM. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park, Grenada, Mississippi.
Serving as pallbearers will be Patrick Thimmes, Chris Beardain, Steven Sons, Todd Melton, Jeff Champion, Mike Campbell, Warren Childs and James Wells
Honorary pallbearers will be Mike Bailey, Victor Hobbs, Bart Haltom and Will Thimmes.
Monroe will be deeply missed and forever remembered. His strength, his love for his family, and the special way he made people feel seen and cared for will never be forgotten. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
