Mr. Morris Ray Browning, 65, of Grenada, passed away Saturday, May 23, 2020 at his residence.  He was born October 22, 1954 in Charleston to Morris and Gloria Minyard Browning.  An avid outdoorsman, Ray enjoyed fishing, hunting and gardening.  He also enjoyed watching Ole Miss Football.  Ray will be remembered as a loyal and dependable man who served as a protector to all those that he loved.  His infectious smile, charismatic personality and sense of humor will be missed by all who knew him.  Ray will be remembered as one who tried to get the most out of everyday – he loved life and lived it to the fullest.

A graveside service will be conducted at 11:30 AM Wednesday, May 27, 2020 at the Magnolia Gardens Cemetery in the Paynes Community of Tallahatchie County with Rev. Mark Moore officiating.

Survivors include his father, Morris Browning of Grenada; daughter, Misty Allbritton(Joey) of Duck Hill; two granddaughters, Sydney Allbritton and Mary Swayze Allbritton; siblings, Robby Browning(Penny) of Grenada, Vallery Browning of Grenada, Teresa Browning-Carpenter of Grenada and Glen Browning(Amy) of Vicksburg.

He was preceded in death by his mother.

Pallbearers will be Joey Allbritton, Johnny Allen, Glen Browning, Robby Browning, Lee Hankins, Ben Liles and Nash Tucker.
