Nancy Marie Simmons Carroll, 75, of Holcomb, passed away Monday, June 28, 2016 at Baptist Memorial Hospital – Memphis. She was born May 20, 1941 in Alva to Thomas and Agnes Wood Simmons. Nancy retired after a long career as a CNA at Grenada Living Center. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Monday, July 4, 2016 at McKibben and Guinn Funeral Service. Interment will follow in the Red Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 PM Sunday and one hour prior to the service Monday at the funeral home.
Survivors include her daughter, Sherry Windham of Holcomb; one granddaughter, Stephanie Chambers of Tillatoba; one grandson, Aaron Windham of Holcomb; three great-grandsons, Hayden, Ryan and Logan Pickle; five sisters, Shelby Pigg, Phyllis Durham and Edna Cole, all of Grenada, Frankie Tartt of Charleston and Deborah Littlefield of Canton; and three brothers, Thomas Simmons and Eddie Johnson of Grenada and Ben Simmons of Batesville.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two sons, Reuben Hays "Bubba" Carroll, Jr. and Billy Wayne Carroll and a brother, Jerry Simmons.
