Mrs. Norma L. Tate, 96, of Grenada, a long-time resident of Memphis, TN, passed away Saturday, April 15, 2023.  She was born July 31, 1926 in Searcy, AR to Luther and Allie Woodall.  Norma was a devoted  homemaker and enjoyed cooking and sharing her delicious meals with her family and friends.  Gardening and tending her flowers were also among some of her favorite things to do.

A stateroom service will be held at 4:30 PM Thursday, April 20, 2023 at McKibben and Guinn Funeral Service.  Family and friends will gather 30 minutes prior to the service Thursday afternoon at McKibben and Guinn.  Norma will be laid to rest alongside her husband in the West Tennessee Veterans Cemetery in Memphis.

Survivors include her daughter-in-law, Debbie Tate of Grenada; granddaughter, Kathryn Tate Shirley (Paul) of Grenada; great-grandchildren, Tate and Ward Shirley of Grenada and a sister, Bessie Kenner of Cocoa Beach, FL.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ernest Edward Tate; son, Steve Tate; one sister and two brothers.
