Mrs. Ola Mae Mitchell, 83, of Duck Hill, passed away Monday, October 17, 2016 at her residence. She was born October 22, 1932 in Tishomingo County to Kelly and Essie Mae Millsaps McAnally. She was a retired employee of BancorpSouth and a member of Duck Hill Baptist Church where she was involved in the Love Sunday School Class.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Friday, October 21, 2016 at Duck Hill Baptist Church. Interment will follow in the Duck Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 PM Thursday evening at the funeral home.
Survivors include one daughter, Penny Mitchell of Duck Hill; two sons, Mike Mitchell (Janet) of Duck Hill and Ben Mitchell of Plano, TX; two granddaughters, Mitzi Galason (Ken) of Kathleen, GA and Regan Cravens (Kyle) of Winona; one great-granddaughter, Addison Galason; three great-grandsons, Kaden Galason, Isaiah Galason and Judson Cravens; and two sisters, Elmira Clark and Brenda Vance (Charles) both of Grenada.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Edward Mitchell; parents, Kelly and Essie Mae McAnally; son, Mark William Mitchell; grandson, Marty Mitchell; five brothers, Hearl McAnally, Lurl McAnally, Molene McAnally, G.C. McAnally and Billy Kay McAnally; and one sister, Mavorine Bruce.
Pallbearers will be Dennis McAnally, Jimmy McAnally, Lee Robert McAnally, Stephen Staed, Kenneth Vance and John Wayne Vineyard.
Memorials may be directed to the Duck Hill Baptist Church.
