Mrs. Martha Oleta Nipper, 93, of Grenada, passed away Monday, June 22, 2015, at her residence. One of eleven children, she was born June 7, 1922, in Alabama to Thomas Charles and Laura Battles Morgan. She was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church of Grenada where she attended the Joy Sunday School Class.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, June 24, 2015, from the Chapel of McKibben and Guinn Funeral Service with Rev. Jim Nunnelee officiating. Interment will follow in the Woodlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Survivors include a son, John Michael "Mike" Nipper, Sr. and his wife Kathy of Grenada; two sisters, Juanita McLendon and Julie White both of Gadsden, AL, and a brother, Tom Morgan of Gadsden, AL; three grandchildren, Dr. John Michael Nipper, Jr. and his wife, Jessica of Mobile, AL, Dr. Elliott Branscome Nipper and his wife, Anna Catherine of Hattiesburg, MS., and Laura Katherine Nipper Pyron and her husband, Cliff of Prairie View, LA; and four great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be directed to the Baptist Children's Village or the Ronald McDonald House in Pensacola, FL.
