Mrs. Opal Louise Dunn Bell, 87, of Tillatoba, passed away Saturday, January 23, 2021 at her residence. She was born March 24, 1933 in Leachville, AR to Thomas Arthur and Fanny Carter Dunn. Opal attended Tillatoba Baptist Church. She had spent a number of years farming with her husband, Ray. Later in life she worked at KFC in Greenville for 19 years and then at the Tillatoba Truck Stop when they moved to the area in the 1980s. Towards the end of her working life, she worked alongside her husband in the trucking business, enjoying many miles and good times together.
A graveside service will be held at 3:30 PM Tuesday, January 26, 2021 at the Union Cemetery at Tillatoba with Bro. Kenny Cantrell officiating.
Survivors include her husband, Ray Bell; two daughters, Karen Merrill and Deborah McCool(Tommy), both of Tillatoba; one son, Ronald Bell(Elisa) of Oklahoma City, OK; four grandchildren, Michael Merrill, Angela Dukes, Christopher McCool and Kimberly Beavers; and nine great-grandchildren, Victoria, Nicholas and Veronica Merrill; P.J. and Allison Dukes; Hunter and Hayden McCool and Caitlyn and Hannah Beavers.
She was preceded in death by by her parents; son, Thomas Ray Bell and a brother, T.A. Dunn.
Pallbearers will be Jason Beavers, P.J. Dukes, Christopher McCool, Hunter McCool, Michael Merrill and Nicholas Merrill.
