Mr. Owen Lamar LaMarche, 77, of Grenada, passed away Friday, October 27, 2023 at his residence.  He was born November 13, 1945 in Florida.  Owen was a skilled carpenter and enjoyed building and restoring homes.  Mr. LaMarche honorably served our country in the US Marines during the Vietnam War.  Owen enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and fishing.  He possessed a unique sense of humor and found great joy in making others laugh.  He will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved him.

Survivors include three daughters, Cathy Grubbs(Tim) of Athens, AL, Desiree Brockie(Eric) of Mishawaka, IN and Katlyn Ortiz(Brandon) of South Bend, IN; five sons, Bobby Butler(Valerie) of Tuscaloosa, AL, Billy Butler of South Bend, IN, John Johnson(Tracy) of Oneonta, AL, Michael Butler of Iuka and Chris Johnson of Birmingham, AL; one sister, Betty Newcomb(Robert) of Grenada; and 23 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John Alan and Fannie Mae Rutledge Johnson; the love of his life, Barbara LaMarche; sister, Lillian McFadden and a brother, Alonzo Johnson.
