Obituary

Patricia "Pat" Stegall Mixon, 88, of Grenada, Mississippi, passed away Monday, October 26, 2026, at her home, surrounded by her loved ones.

She was born June 29, 1938, in Forest County, Wisconsin, to William Ancil and Minnie Stegall. She met Carl Mixon in Zion, Illinois, in 1956, where they both worked at Warwick. They were married on November 9, 1957, in Columbus, Mississippi, and would have celebrated 69 years of marriage this November 9.

A homemaker by choice, Pat could have been or done anything she set her mind to. What she chose was a life beside her "honey," Carl, and at the heart of her family. Her life was anchored in Jesus, and her faith never wavered. Next to her faith, nothing mattered more to her than her husband and her family. Being Nana was not just what she was called; it was her life's calling, and she gave that love freely, far beyond her own grandchildren. She was everyone's Nana.

She is survived by her husband, Carl Frank Mixon of Grenada; her children, Philip Carl Mixon and wife Janet, Cindi Mixon Green, and Anthony Preston "Tony" Mixon and wife Lesa; her grandchildren, Bethany McRee and husband Michael, Jessica McGee, Jonathan Green, and Cassie Tannenburg; her great-grandchildren, Luke McRee, Levi McRee, Case McGee, Presley McGee, Stella McGee, Carson Welch, Emma Green, Ryder Tannenburg, and Kira Tannenburg; her brother, William Edgar "Bill" Stegall and wife Julia; her sister, Harriet Zuzinec; her sisters-in-law, Glenda Prillhart and husband George, Patsy Alexander, and Sheila Bush and husband Luther; and her brother-in-law, Kenny Mixon and wife Jeanette.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William Ancil and Minnie Stegall; her brother, Lawrence Jack Stegall; her sisters, Gladys Bushweiler, Clara Jorgensen, and Phillis Deloach; and her brother-in-law, Jerry Zuzinec.

Honorary pallbearers will be Herby Bloodworth, Case McGee, Levi McRee, Luke McRee, Gregg Mixon, Ken Mixon, David Stegall, Ryder Tannenburg, and Carson Welch.
