Surrounded by her family, Norma Patricia Stewart went peacefully to be with the Lord on Thursday July 30, 2015. Patsy as she was known to her friends and family was born on May 20, 1939 in Coffeeville, MS. She graduated from the Baptist School of Nursing in Memphis. She ended her long career in nursing as a public school nurse in the Grenada school system. Patsy was a long time member of the First United Methodist Church. Most recently she was secretary-treasurer of the Sunday school program.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Georgia Rae Branum and RV Branum of Coffeeville, and her brother, James Victor Branum.
Survivors include her sons, James Carl Stewart of Houston, TX and Alan Kirk Stewart of Denver, CO, her grandson Jackson Branum Stewart of Houston, TX and her siblings Barbara Oliver of Lafayette, TN and El Jane Martin of Austin, TX.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Saturday, August 1, 2015 at First United Methodist Church in Grenada with Rev. Tom Potter officiating. Interment will follow in the Coffeeville Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the general budget of the First United Methodist Church in Grenada, MS.
