Mr. Paul G. Davis, Sr., 90, of Grenada, passed away Wednesday, June 7, 2017 at his residence. He was born August 4, 1926 in Sunflower County to H.A. and Rosie Tanksley Davis. He was a retired farmer and a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church. He was a former resident of Minter City and was a former member and Deacon of First Baptist Church in Minter City.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, June 9, 2017 at McKibben and Guinn Funeral Service. Interment will follow in the Grenada Memorial Garden. The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon until service time Friday at McKibben and Guinn.

Survivors include his wife Thelma Joiner Davis; one son, Paul G. Davis, Jr. and his wife Gayle; one daughter, Diane Davis O'Neal and her husband, Bob; two sisters, Helen Tingle and Melba Dees; eight grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren and a special caregiver, Amanda Winters.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Kathy Davis Thompson; a brother, Henry E. Davis and two sisters, Verla Mae Pinion and Opal Davis Blakemore.

Pallbearers will be Clay Davis, Josh Davis, Tripp Davis, Doug Filgo, Larry Hazzard, Kris Kyle, Davis O'Neal and James O'Neal.

Memorials may be directed to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
