Miss Paula Kaye Simmons, 48, of Grenada, passed away Thursday, March 24, 2022, at her residence. She was born July 7, 1973, in Grenada to Billy England and Patsy Carter Simmons. Paula earned a degree in marketing from Delta State University and worked in Sales for AT&T and Bellsouth for a number of years. Paula was very musically inclined and enjoyed singing and especially reminiscing about her days as a member of the Grenada High School Marching Band. She was a member of First Baptist Church – Grenada. Her love for children and her jolly personality will be fondly remembered by all those who knew and loved her.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, March 28, 2022, at McKibben and Guinn Funeral Service with Rev. Fletcher Moorman officiating and Mr. Mark Davis delivering the eulogy. Interment will follow in the Oddfellows Cemetery in Grenada. Family and friends will gather from 12:00 noon until service time Monday at McKibben and Guinn.
Survivors include her mother, Patsy Carter Simmons of Grenada; three sisters, Billie Lynn Jones of Grenada, Kathy Cleveland(Butch) of Baskin, LA and Linda Brunson of Grenada; and a host of beloved nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father and her sister, Patricia Aven.
Pallbearers will be Carter Aven, Richard Cleveland, B.J. Jones, John Jones, Cade Rogers and Curtis Rose.
