Mrs. Peggy Pearlene Hood Fowler, 93, of Grenada, passed away Thursday, September 28, 2023 at her residence.  She was born April 21, 1930 in Carroll County to Buford and Mary Clemons Hood.  A devoted homemaker, Pearlene enjoyed quilting, was a master seamstress and loved to cook for her family and friends.  Pearlene was a faithful member of the Southside Church of Christ where she taught Sunday school, women's classes and spent time visiting shut-in church members.  She also spent countless hours babysitting and caring for elderly friends and family.  Her sweet, giving spirit will be missed for many years to come.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, October 1, 2023 at McKibben and Guinn Funeral Service in Grenada with Bro. Ben McAnally officiating.  Interment will follow in the Red Hill Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until the hour of the service Sunday at McKibben and Guinn.

Survivors include her daughter, Sandra Gray of Grenada; two sons, Greg Fowler of Tampa, FL and Tim Fowler of Grenada; seven grandchildren, Margaret Hill, Brandi Hood, Richard Fowler, Kevin Gray, Phillip Gray, Gregory Fowler, Jr. and Dona Fowler; and seven great-grandchildren, Nicholas Fowler, Nolan Fowler, Peyton Gray, Ainsley Gray, Jensen Gray, Malachi Hood and Levi Hood.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Grover Campbell "G.C." Fowler; son, Jerry Fowler; three sisters, Eunice Long, Mary Ann Whitby and Ruth Harbin and three brothers, Jack Hood, Truman Hood and Robert "Gus" Hood.
