Mrs. Peggy Sue Patton Grant, 90, of Duck Hill, passed away Saturday, October 15, 2022 at Providence Assisted Living.  She was born October 9, 1932 in Grenada to Dale and Sue Mullins Patton.  Peggy worked for a number of years at Pennaco Hosiery in Grenada.  She was a devoted member of Emmanuel Baptist Church and enjoyed supporting the United States operations of Operation Christmas Child in Atlanta.  Mrs. Grant also enjoyed serving as a GLAD volunteer and had previously assisted in the remodeling of several area boys and girls homes.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, October 17, 2022 at McKibben and Guinn Funeral Service in Grenada with Rev. Eugene Heimbach officiating.  Interment will follow in the Duck Hill Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 PM Sunday evening and one hour prior to the service Monday all at McKibben and Guinn.

Survivors include a son, Jerry Grant of Grenada; sister, Lillie Woods of Duck Hill; brother, Larry Patton of Grenada; three grandchildren, Brandy Garrett, Lauren Murphy and Justin Grant; and two great-grandchildren, Bella Garrett and Hudson Murphy.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Joseph Howell Grant; and daughter, Janice Rutkowski.
