Peggy
Greenhaw
September 28, 1969 – February 26, 2026
Miss Peggy L. Greenhaw, 56, of Grenada, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, February 26, 2026 at Baptist Memorial Hospital - Memphis. Born on September 28, 1969, in Shelby, Mississippi, she was the cherished youngest daughter of John and Mary Ballard Greenhaw.
Peggy was preceded in death by her parents, John and Mary Greenhaw; her sister, Marie Greenhaw; and her brother-in-law, Chris Blake.
She leaves behind her devoted sister, Stacy Lyn Blake; her nephews, Evan McClain, Zach McClain (Jennifer), Hayz McClain (Skylar), Drew Blake and Riley Cuneo; and the apples of her eye — Malori McClain, Adalyn Ingram, Rylan Hodges, Alysa McClain, Aleya McClain, Kaysen McClain, Kalie Ruth McClain, and Bowen Hayz McClain. She is also survived by a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and countless friends who were blessed to know her.
Peggy was the light of every room she entered. Her radiant smile and silly fun-loving personality could brighten the darkest day, and her piercing blue eyes reflected a heart of pure gold. She was talented beyond measure — a gifted bass guitar player, an absolute sports fanatic, and one of the fiercest and finest softball catchers to ever step behind the plate. Known as the world’s Best Dancing Umpire, she brought joy, laughter, and energy to every field she walked onto.
Her greatest passion was coaching and teaching children to love the game the way she did — with heart, grit, and pure joy. She poured herself into every young athlete she mentored, leaving a legacy that will live on in countless lives.
Peggy cannot be replaced. Her love and devotion to Jesus shined in her smile and genuine love she had for each person she met. She leaves a void that only the Lord can fill, but her love, laughter, and light will forever echo in the hearts of those who loved her. FOREVER 23.
