Mrs. Peggy Ann Melton, 74, of Grenada, passed away Saturday, April 17, 2021 at her residence.  She was born October 8, 1946 in Indianola to Bill, Sr. and Ivy Chadwick Owens.  Peggy had worked in bail bonding for a number of years while being a devoted homemaker.  She was a member of the Grenada Church of God.  Peggy, an avid animal lover, will be remembered as a loving woman always having a helping hand extended to those in need.

A time of remembrance will be held from 11:00 AM until 12:00 Noon on Monday, April 26, 2021 at McKibben and Guinn Funeral Service.

Survivors include two daughters, Magan Emrick of Grenada and Jada Glenn(Tate) of Gore Springs; one son, James Kennedy of Grenada; four step-children, Judy Armstrong of Columbus, Lois Doss of Illinois, Brenda Kay Starnes of Carthage and Jerry Melton of Coldwater; four grandchildren, Cecilea Jones, Curtis Heineck, Jack Kennedy and Belle Kennedy; 15 great-grandchildren; several step-grandchildren; mother-in-law, Marjorie Melton and a host of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands, Cecil Melton and Alton Kennedy; two daughters, Casandra Kennedy and Tonya Kennedy; sister, Ruby Akins and a brother, Bill Owens, Jr.

Tate Glenn, Brennan Haley, Curtis Heineck, Jamie Jones, Shelby Mitchell, Christian Ray, Buddy Starnes, Earl Winters and Clint Yates will honor Peggy by serving as Honorary Pallbearers.
