Mrs. Peggy Joe Treadwell Stiefvater, 76, of Grenada, a long-time resident of Greenville, passed away Friday, April 18, 2025 at the University of Mississippi Medical Center – Grenada. She was born March 23, 1949 in Arcola to James Leroy and Lillie Mae Luke Treadwell. A devoted homemaker, Peggy took pride in making her home a warm, inviting place for loved ones to gather. She also loved preparing delicious meals for friends and loved ones. She was a devoted member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She enjoyed studying genealogy and serving in the temple.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM Sunday, April 27, 2025 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Greenville with Bishop Joseph Dean officiating.
Survivors include her son, Mark Templain of Dallas, TX; four sisters, Lois Rodman of Arkansas, Joyce Moree of Florida, Geraldine Olson of Texas and Connie Skelton of Calhoun County, MS; and two brothers, James Leroy "JL" Treadwell of Texas and Raymond Treadwell of Missouri.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, David Lee Stiefvater and eleven siblings.
