Ms. Phyllis Jane Simmons McNabb Durham, 73, of Grenada, passed away Thursday, October 13, 2022 at her residence.  She was born September 15, 1949 to Thomas Jefferson Simmons and Agnes Jauwice Woods Simmons Johnson.  Phyllis was a member of Red Hill Baptist Church and had spent most of her working life as a CNA.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday, October 16, 2022 at McKibben and Guinn Funeral Service with Rev. Reuben Cole officiating.  Interment will follow in the Red Hill Cemetery near Duck Hill.  The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until service time Sunday at McKibben and Guinn.

Survivors include her daughter, Trisha Dunn of Duck Hill; two sons, Scott McNabb of Grenada and Shawn McNabb of Hattiesburg; three sisters, Frankie Tartt of Oakland, Debbie Littlefield of Jackson and Susie Cole of Grenada; three brothers, Thomas Simmons of Grenada, Ben Simmons of Batesville and Eddie Johnson of Grenada; seven grandchildren, Felisha McNabb, Stephen McNabb, Krista McNabb, Cameron Dunn, Robbie Dunn, Jacob McNabb and Callie McNabb and one great-grandchild, Gracelynn Jackson.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, James Cameron McNabb and Sam Durham; two sisters, Nancy Carroll and Shelby Pigg and a brother, Jerry Simmons.

Bobby Avery, Cody Cole, Cameron Dunn, Robbie Dunn, Robert Dunn, Stephen McNabb and Chris Simmons will honor Phyllis by serving as pallbearers and carrying her to rest in the Red Hill Cemetery.
