Prentice E. Clement, age 61, of Columbus, Mississippi, and formerly of Holcomb, Mississippi, passed away at his home on June 21, 2026. He was born June 27, 1965.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lee C. Clement and Mavis Helen Clement; his uncles Jerry Brown, Hoyt Whitsell, Howard Mangrum, and Hillard; his aunt Bernadine Mangrum; and his cousins Karen Mangrum, Tim Mangrum, and Samantha Whitsell.

Prentice served his country in the United States Marine Corps. Following his military service, he worked in the real estate appraisal field and later served in two veterans’ homes. His most recent employment was with Walmart in Columbus.

He enjoyed the outdoors—especially fishing, hunting, and riding four‑wheelers with friends—and he appreciated connecting with family.

Prentice is survived by his uncle Jimmy Mangrum and aunt Ruth Mangrum; his aunt Linda Brown; and his aunt Sendel Whitsell. He also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and a special friend, Sherri Ingram.

Funeral arrangements are entrusted to McKibben and Guinn Funeral Service of Grenada, Mississippi. A graveside service will be held Saturday, July 18, 2026, at 10 a.m. at Sparta Cemetery in Holcomb, Mississippi. Bro. Jimmy Mangrum of McCool, Mississippi, will officiate.

Pallbearers will be his cousins Dwayne Hindmon, Chris Hindmon, Billy Whitsell, Bobby Whitsell, and Jason Whitsell.
