Obituary

Mr. Radford Winters, 75, of Grenada, passed away Monday, October 12, 2026, at the University of Mississippi Medical Center–Grenada. He was born November 1, 1950, in Charleston, the son of Luther Edward Winters and Sarah Mildred Allbritton. Radford was a hardworking man who spent many years as a scrap metal dealer. Earlier in his life, he worked at Kellwood and Bloodworth’s Grocery. Away from work, he enjoyed the simple pleasures of fishing and completing word searches.

The Lord blessed Radford with a special musical talent, which he lovingly shared by playing and singing in churches and other venues. His music was more than a pastime—it was a meaningful way for him to glorify God and encourage those around him. Radford was an active and faithful member of New Bethel Holiness Church, where his presence, faith and musical gifts were deeply appreciated.

Radford will be remembered for his strong work ethic, his love of music and the steadfast faith that guided his life. His talents and devotion touched many, and his memory will be lovingly cherished by all who knew him.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Thursday, October 15, 2026 at the New Bethel Holiness Church with Bro. James Jones, Bro. Jerry Hill and Bro. Lonnie Hill officiating. Interment will follow in the North Shady Grove Cemetery at Cascilla. The family will receive friends from 5:00 - 8:00 PM Wednesday evening and one hour prior to the service Thursday all at the New Bethel Holiness Church.

Survivors include his wife, Brenda Winters; step-daughter, Donna Lynn Bain of Grenada; step-son, David Bain of Florida; siblings, Charlie Gene Winters of Cascilla, Annell Franklin(Robert) of Grenada, Vivian Blount(Bill) of Duck Hill, Merrill Winters(Julia) of Cascilla, Sonia Hill(Jerry) of Cascilla and Cynthia Winters of Philadelphia; and 19 nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and four brothers, Terry Lewis Winters, Roy Edward Winters, Kenneth “Big Dave” Winters and Wayne Winters.

Matt Hill, Seth Hill, Skylar Hill, Daniel Lewallen, Johnny Lewallen, Jr. and Michael Winters will honor Radford by serving as pallbearers and carry him to rest in the North Shady Grove Cemetery. Honorary pallbearers will be Hollis Bloodworth, Jimmy Kendall and Samy McCracken.
