Mr. Guy Ray Weir, 87, of Grenada, passed away Friday, November 15, 2019 at Baptist Memorial Hospital – North Mississippi in Oxford. He was born February 1, 1932 in Grenada to Louis Trout, Sr. and Clarice Fite Weir. Mr. Weir had retired after working many years in Sales with Central Woodwork in Memphis. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Grenada and had formerly served as the Mayor of Tillatoba. Ray also honorably served our country in the US Army during the Korean War.
A visitation will be held from 10:00 – 11:00 AM Tuesday, November 19, 2019 at McKibben and Guinn Funeral Service. Immediately following visitation, a graveside service will be held at the Woodlawn Memorial Park with Rev. Mike Ramage officiating.
Survivors include two sons, K. Frank Weir(Freda) of Tillatoba and Monroe Keith Beardain of Enid; one daughter, Angela Beardain of Grenada; one sister, Linda Weir Smith of Holcomb; four grandchildren, Lauralee Beardain, Tripp Beardain, Lexiray Regan and Gracie Beardain; and eight great-grandchildren, Hadley Kade Rye, Chevy Blane Langham, Madilynn Margaret Hipp, Jett Taylor Langham, Saylor Lee Hipp, Tymberlyn Trigger Langham, Brantley Tucker Langham and Avery Monroe Beardain.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Joyce Tillman Weir; one sister, Jean Weir Liles and a brother, Louis Weir, Jr.
Pallbearers will be Tripp Beardain, Louis Correro, Ben Liles, John Liles, Larry Weir Smith and Robert Smith. Honorary Pallbearers will be Tommy Hudson and Larry Smith.
