Richard Dean Burson, 65, of Grenada, MS, passed away Tuesday, April 26, 2017, at home after a brave fight with cancer. He was born July 28, 1951, to Clyde C., Sr., and Marguerite Hill Burson.
Visitation will be Thursday, April 27, 2017 at McKibben and Guinn Funeral Service from 5:00 – 7:00 PM. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, April 28, 2017 at McKibben and Guinn Funeral Service with Rev. Tim Buchanan officiating. Interment will follow in the Duck Hill Cemetery.
Mr. Burson loved fishing, hunting, and camping. He spent his life working in paper mills around the country. He settled in Grenada in 1989 with the startup of Newsprint South and was a dedicated employee until 2006 when he retired on disability. He was a member of Duck Hill Baptist Church.
Mr. Burson is survived by his wife of 39 years, Ranell Parker Burson; two children, Michelle Milam and Kristy Wilson (Donald); five grandchildren, Caleb Milam, Brayden Milam, Victoria Wilson, Landon Wilson, and Kayden Wilson; one sister, Martha Little (Shannon) of AR; and two brothers, Clyde C. Burson, Jr. of AR and Joey Burson (Cindy) of LA; three brother-in-laws, Mart Parker (Michelle) of AR, Paul Parker (Anita) of PA, and Larry Parker (Nicole) of AR; and a host of nieces and nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Marguerite Hill Burson and Clyde C. Burson, Sr.
