Mr. Rodney Wayne Shaw, 43, of Grenada, passed away Thursday, February 16, 2017 at his residence. He was born April 16, 1973 in Greenwood to Jerry Wayne and Pamela Funderburk Shaw. He was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Grenada and had worked for UPS for 25 years. He was an avid hunter and outdoorsman and will be remembered for always putting others first. Rodney's contagious smile will be missed by all who knew him, especially his nieces and nephews who affectionately referred to him as "Rah-Rah".

A service to celebrate his life will be held at 1:00 PM Wednesday, February 22, 2017 at Emmanuel Baptist Church with Dr. Brent Barker and Rev. Lanny Haley officiating. Interment will follow in the Moore's Memorial Cemetery in Carroll County. The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 8:00 PM Tuesday evening at Emmanuel Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Melody Mattox Shaw; son, Brantley Wayne Shaw; two daughters, Brianna Faith Shaw and Braylee Alexis Shaw all of Grenada; parents; Jerry and Pam Shaw of Carrollton; grandmother, Virginia Shaw Kendrick of Winona; two sisters, Jenny Shaw Schmitz (Jay) of Greenwood and Tracy Shaw Kiker (Morgan) of Carrollton; in-laws, Mark and Patsy Mattox of Grenada; sister-in-law, Suzy Winstead(Kimble); brothers-in-law, Jonathan Mattox(Carmen), Josh Mattox(Marie) and Jake Mattox(Candice); and a host of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Jonathan Mattox, Josh Mattox, Jake Mattox, Kimble Winstead, Jay Schmitz, Morgan Kiker, Mark Funderburk, Jeremy Funderburk, Chris Shaw, Jamey Shaw, Gary McGehee and Heath Kuriger.
