Mr. Ronald Glenn Mitchell, Sr., 68, of Grenada, passed away Tuesday, May 19, 2026 at his residence. He was born May 28, 1957 in Grenada to Mack and Ellen Simmons Mitchell. Ronnie worked as an automotive technician for decades at Cliff Colbert Chevrolet and later for General Motors in Michigan. Upon his return to Mississippi, he worked for several years at Modine in Grenada. An avid outdoorsman, Ronnie enjoyed hunting as well as raising, breeding and training Llewellin Setters. He was a member of Way of Life Ministries.
Funeral services will be held at noon on Thursday, May 21, 2026 at McKibben and Guinn Funeral Service in Grenada with Pastor Chris Owensby officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until service time Thursday at McKibben and Guinn.
Survivors include his wife, Ginger Ann Mitchell; daughters, Stefanie Storey(Charles) of Grenada, Rachel McCain(Chris) of Cleveland, Rhonda Mitchell of Cleveland, Rachel Dees(Hunter) of Grenada and Jessica Tedford(Anthony) of Columbus; sons, Baby Glenn Mitchell(Leah) and Chas Robertson, both of Grenada; one sister, Dr. Myra Harville(Mark) of Grenada; 17 grandchildren, Addison Sansone, Leah Oakes, Cameron Storey, Mack Mitchell, Jack Mitchell, Hunter Scribner, Amanda McCain, Cade McCain, Noah McCain, Jaxon McCain, Harper Dees, Walker Dees, Rowen Dees, Kinsley Chitwood, Wyatt Chitwood, Lorelei Moore and Bo Tedford; and one great-grandchild, Kinsley McCain.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Hunter Dees, Mitchell Harville, PJ Mitchell, Chris McCain, Paul Mitchell, Charles Storey, Anthony Tedford, Chris Vickers and his grandsons.
