Obituary

RoseAnn Dunn Taylor went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ at the age of 83 on Monday, October 7, 2024 at her residence in Holcomb, MS surrounded by her loving family.

RoseAnn was born December 7, 1940, in Holcomb, MS to Archie R. Dunn and Lila Thompson Dunn.  She was a lifelong resident of Holcomb, MS and a lifelong member of Holcomb Baptist Church where she married the love of her life on November 8, 1959, Glen Norris Taylor. They enjoyed 65 years together. She grew up milking cows alongside her Daddy and continued her love of the country farm life alongside her husband, Norris. They worked tirelessly together on their farm, Rosewood Ranch to build a good life for their family.  She started her working career after high school in the Grenada County Chancery Clerk's office when a young man named Norris Taylor walked in on the day he returned home from the Army. They married that same year.  She worked as a bookkeeper at Binswanger Mirror and Poor House Water Association, but her main vocation was as a devoted homemaker and mother at which she excelled.

RoseAnn is survived by her husband, Glen Norris Taylor and her greatest blessings, her children, daughter, Cathy Haltom (Bill) of Holcomb and her son, Scott Taylor of Holcomb, her cherished grandchildren, Drew Haltom (Laura) of Memphis, TN, Taylor Haltom (Morgan) of Mobile, AL, and five adored great-grandchildren: Graham Robert, Henry Alan (Hank), Judith Rose (Jude), Margaret Lee (Mae) and Annette Cate (Annie) and her sister, Lucille Dunn Steele of Greenwood.

She was welcomed in Heaven by her parents and her brother, Archie R. Dunn, Jr. and her beloved son, Glen Alan Taylor.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, October 11, 2024 at McKibben and Guinn Funeral Service with her grandson, the Rev. Drew Haltom officiating. The family will receive friends from noon until service time at McKibben and Guinn. RoseAnn will be laid to rest with her loved ones in Sparta Cemetery near Holcomb.

Drew Haltom, Taylor Haltom, Saxton Haltom, Wayne Taylor, Garrett Taylor, and Josh Taylor will honor RoseAnn by serving as pallbearers and carry her to rest in the Sparta Cemetery.

Memorials may be directed to Holcomb Baptist Church in Holcomb, MS.
