Mr. Rudolph “Rudy” Rocha, Jr., age 72, died peacefully at home on Saturday, May 9, 2026 following a lengthy illness. He was born March 26, 1954 in Los Angeles, CA to Audie Elizabeth “Polly” Rocha and Rudolph Rocha, Sr. Rudy was a 1972 graduate of Grenada Lake Academy and attended Holmes Junior College. He attended the Mississippi Law Enforcement Training Academy and graduated in 1984. He served as a police officer for the City of Grenada for 7 years; and later worked as a senior draftsman for Heatcraft/Luvata until 2010 when he began over the road trucking until he became ill in 2019.
Visitation will be held from 12:30 – 2:00 PM Wednesday, May 13, 2026 at McKibben and Guinn Funeral Service. Immediately following visitation, a graveside service will be held at the Gore Springs Cemetery with Rev. John R. Parker officiating.
Survivors include his wife of 18 years, Renee’ Rocha; sister, Juanita Pressley(Dwight) of Madison; sons, Trace Bevell of Grenada, Jeremy Rocha of Grenada and Chris Rocha(Lauren) of Natchez; daughter, Christie Bevell Hand(Chris) of Grenada; one bonus son, Wesley Weeks(Laura) of Iuka; seven grandchildren, Dane Bevell, Madison Cook(Dustin), Mason Gettys(Mallory), Rylee Weeks, Liam Weeks, Emma Grace Rocha and Holly Kate Rocha; and two great-grandchildren, Collins and Gatlin Cook.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Rene and infant Raymond Rocha and a granddaughter, Lydia Grace Weeks.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers include Jeremy Rocha, Wesley Weeks, John Stevens, Greg Lukacs, Brandon Haley and Shawn Boatman. Honorary Pallbearers include John Johnson, Barry Rounsaville, Danny Brown, Ed Stevens, Roy Bennett Stevens, Bruce Patridge, Randy Rocha, Rodney Rocha and Ricky Rocha.
