Russell Cohron "Rusty" Hambrick, 58, of Grenada, passed away Wednesday, November 13, 2019 at the University of Mississippi Medical Center – Grenada. His family rejoices that he is in no more pain and he is safe in the arms of Jesus. He was born May 5, 1961 in Greenwood. Rusty was a proud member of the United States Air Force where he honorably served our country for 13 years. At the time of his discharge, he had earned the rank of Staff Sergeant. Following his military service, Rusty worked in retail management for over 12 years. Rusty was of the Baptist faith and worshipped at Hebron Baptist Church in Grenada. In recent years, as his health declined, it became very evident that his faith in God grew stronger as his body grew weaker. Through the trials he encountered, Rusty maintained a positive attitude and never once complained.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, November 17, 2019 at Hebron Baptist Church in Grenada with Rev. Howard Beam officiating. Interment will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery in Carrollton. Family and friends will gather one hour prior to the service Sunday at the church.
Survivors include his wife, Becky Hambrick of Grenada; mother, Sara Ann Dale of Carrollton; two daughters, Maegan Allen (Jacob) of Jacksonville, FL and Alicia Williams of Senatobia; four sons, Quincy Hambrick(Mandie) of Hattiesburg, Jonathan Williams(Nikki) of Grenada; Eric Williams of Grenada and Joshua Williams of Grenada; one sister, Kathy Hambrick Diehl of Greenwood; one brother, Gerry Carter(Emily) of Horseshoe; two step-sisters, Ellen Dale O'Neal and Kathryn Dale Roland; 13 grandchildren, Briana, T.J., Jailyn, Maddie, Brooke, Devin, Blake, Layten, Harlee, Bryce, Kyleigh, August and Liam; three great-grandchildren, Kyler, Skyler and Roman; Rusty was also anxiously awaiting the arrival of a granddaughter in December, Olivia Hambrick.
He was preceded in death by step-fathers, Gerald Carter, Sr. and Matt Dale, Jr.

Pallbearers will be Quincy Hambrick, Jonathan Williams, Eric Williams, Devin Mayhan, Ronnie Nail and Ryan Burt.
