Mr. Jessie Edward "Rusty" Hobgood, 81, of Grenada, passed away Monday, June 15, 2020 at Grace Healthcare and Rehabilitation in Grenada.  He was born September 22, 1938 in Carroll County to John Wesley and Nora Frazier Hobgood.  Rusty was a retired farmer.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, June 17, 2020 at the Sparta Cemetery near Holcomb.

Rusty is survived by his wife, Woodsy Hobgood and two sisters, Mary Jo McWilliams of Spartanburg, NC and Peggy Saunders of Lobelville, TN.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Jeffrey Ryan Hobgood; one sister, Barbara Hobgood; and two brothers, Buddy Hobgood and Gene Hobgood.

Pallbearers will be Aaron Pruett, Bubba Rose, Jay Rose and Mike Rose.
