Mrs. Lillian Ruth Lindley, 74, of Holcomb, passed away Tuesday, January 19, 2021 at her residence.  She was born March 11, 1946 in Tallahatchie County to Charlie Asberry and Ethel Melton Kendall.  Ruth worked for several years at Pennaco Hosiery and also had her own house cleaning business.  She was a member of the Turkey Foot Fork Church of God of Prophecy.  Ruth loved the outdoors especially vegetable gardening, growing flowers and fishing.  She was a loving mother and grandmother whose memory will live on in the many lives she touched.

Graveside services will be held at 11:30 AM Wednesday, January 20, 2021 at the Holcomb Cemetery.

Survivors include two daughters, Gale Prewitt(Ricky) and Nell Livingston Fisher, both of Holcomb; one sister, Dorothy Smith of Cascilla; one brother, Henry Kendall of Cascilla; six grandchildren, Angel Collums(James), Heather Morgan, Ashley Beck, Michael Winters(Maria), Kourtney Turner and Kurt Livingston; and nine great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, John D. Lindley; daughter, Helen Winters; sisters, Virginia Sue Kendall and Ida Mae Carpenter and a brother, Charlie James Kendall.

Pallbearers will be Jacob Banks, Tony Crouch, Bob Hayward, Ray Kendall, Kurt Livingston and Michael Winters.  Honorary Pallbearers will be Ricky Allbritton and Don Crouch.
