Mrs. Ruth M. McRee, 84, of Grenada, passed away Friday, October 21, 2022 at her residence.  She was born January 28, 1938 in Roanoke, VA to Rev. Joe and Ruth Johns McCluskey.  Ruth was a vibrant and active member of the First United Methodist Church in Grenada where she served in numerous capacities through the years.  She was also very civic minded and was involved in several service organizations including the Junior Auxiliary where she was a Life Member.

The family invites you to celebrate her life at 11:00 AM Monday, October 24, 2022 at First United Methodist Church in Grenada with Rev. Daniel Herring officiating.  Interment will follow in the Woodlawn Memorial Park.  The family will receive friends from 4:00 – 6:00 PM Sunday evening at McKibben and Guinn Funeral Service and one hour prior to the service Monday at First United Methodist Church.

Ruth will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Bryant McRee whom she married on December 28, 1958; four sons, Bill McRee and his wife, Vicky of Grenada, Tommy McRee of Grenada, Bobby McRee and his wife, Melba of Hernando and Jody McRee and his wife, Tracie of Lewisburg; seven grandchildren, Elizabeth Barlow and her husband, Hunter of Madison, Emily Webb and her husband, Daniel of Jackson, Jessica Edwards and her husband, Shea of Santa Barbara, CA, Lewis McRee of Hernando, Ann Wren McRee of Hernando, Justin McRee of Lewisburg and Corbin McRee of Lewisburg; and six great-grandchildren, Dorothy Kate, Ellis and Joe Barlow, William Webb, Jack and Luke Edwards.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Tommy and Joe McCluskey.

Pallbearers will be Hunter Barlow, Corbin McRee, Justin McRee, Lewis McRee and Daniel Webb.
