Mrs. Ruth Brooks Moss, 95, of Grenada, passed away Friday, October 5, 2018 at Grenada Health and Rehabilitation Center in Grenada. She was born April 9, 1923 in Rhode Island to Harry Augustus and Gertrude Artman Brooks. Mrs. Moss was a devoted homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church where she taught the three year-old Sunday school class for over 68 years. She also served our country in the WAVES, which was a women's branch of the US Naval Reserve during World War II. It was during this time she met her husband, Harold Moss, while stationed in Pensacola, FL. They enjoyed 62 years of marriage until his death in 2009.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Monday, October 8, 2018 at McKibben and Guinn Funeral Service in Grenada with Dr. John Boler and Dr. Jim Nunnelee officiating. Interment will follow in the Grenada Memorial Garden. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until service time Monday at McKibben and Guinn.

Survivors include one daughter, Linda Moss Williams of Grenada; two sons, Brooks Moss(Barbara) of Grenada and John Moss(Peggy) of Zachary, LA; six grandchildren, Stacy Moss Daves, Brandon Moss, Barry Moss, Lisa Williams Brooks, Ben Moss and Kelly Moss; and six great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Harold Moss; two sisters, Dorothy Melnyk and Elsie Sambor; and three brothers, Harry E. Brooks, Norman F. Brooks and Kenny Brooks.

Pallbearers will be Stacy Daves, Barry Moss, Ben Moss, Brandon Moss, Kennon Moss and Scott Moss.

Memorials may be directed to the Building Fund at First Baptist Church - Grenada.
