Mrs. Helen "Ruzene" Moore Phelon, 84, of Grenada, passed away Monday, March 14, 2022, at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Grenada. She was born October 15, 1937, in Fulton MS to Enos Orie and Eva Lucille Comer Moore. She was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church and a former secretary at Mississippi Valley Gas. Ruzene enjoyed playing games with her friends and family. She graduated at Messick High School in Memphis, Tennessee.
Funeral Services will be at 2:00 PM Saturday, March 19, at McKibben and Guinn Funeral Service. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery in Grenada. The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon until service time, Saturday, at McKibben and Guinn.
Survivors include one daughter, Felecia Steele(Ray) of Petal, MS; one son, Terry Phelon(Shonda) of Grenada; one sister, Rendy Barrett of Daphne, AL; one brother, Fred Moore of Yazoo City, MS; seven grandchildren, William Giger(Heather), Kirk Giger(Nicole), Zac Giger(Brandy), Brad Phelon(Ashland), Justin Phelon, Shelby Jackson(Miles), and Peyton Gilmer(Walt); and eleven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Gerald "Jerry" Boyd Phelon; one grandson, Christopher Phelon; and one brother, Allen Moore.
Pallbearers will be the grandsons.
Memorials may be made to the Emmanuel Baptist Church Benevolence Fund.
