Mr. Samuel Clifford Sultan, 94, of Gore Springs, passed away Monday, September 14, 2020 at his residence.  He was born July 18, 1926 in Gore Springs to Robert L. and Mary Ellie Williams Sultan.  He was a retired farmer and a member of Providence Baptist Church.  Mr. Sultan honorably served our country in the US Army during World War II.

A graveside service with military honors will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, September 16, 2020 at the Providence Baptist Church Cemetery near Gore Springs with Rev. Brian Abel officiating.

Survivors include his daughter, Sandra Sultan Austin of Gore Springs; one son, Cliff "Beater" Sultan of Gore Springs; and three grandchildren, Hunter Austin, Dalton Austin and Cameron Sultan.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Patricia Abel Sultan; one sister, Marguriette Trippett; and two brothers, Robert Sultan and John Sultan, Jr.

Pallbearers will be Brian Abel, Jr., John Allen Abel, Shane Brister, Camron Johnson, Donnie Sultan and Cary Worsham.
