Sarah Rose Corder Windham, 98, of Grenada passed away Tuesday, November 2, 2021, at Tallahatchie General Hospital and Extended Care Facility in Charleston, MS. She was born on July 24, 1923, in Carroll County to William and Rosa Lee Corder. Mrs. Windham retired from Pennaco Hosiery. She was a faithful member of Calvary Baptist Church, where she enjoyed her son's sermons and attended for more than 40 years. When her health no longer permitted her to attend church, she loved having her nurses, staff, and family read to her from the Bible. Mrs. Windham was passionate about serving others through her cooking and hosted lunch for her family every Sunday after church. Mrs. Windham was happiest when spending time with her family and took a special interest in her great – grandchildren's lives. Whether it was ministering to them, attending their school events, or helping with homework – Mrs. Windham was a mentor, and her legacy of serving others as a faithful Christian will continue for generations to come. During her life, she was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great – grandmother, and friend who leaves a legacy of serving and loving others.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, November 5, 2021 at McKibben and Guinn Funeral Service with Bro. William Wall and Bro. Gerald Shook officiating. Interment will follow in the Calvary Baptist Cemetery in Carrolton. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service Friday at McKibben and Guinn Funeral Service.

Survivors include her daughter in law, Pat Vickery Windham of Grenada; three grandchildren, Rebecca Windham Lawson (Gabe) of Lakeland, TN, Amy Windham Howe (Robbie) of Leland, and Michael Windham (Kristy) of Trussville, AL; and eight great -grandchildren, Sarah Ann Carmack, Emily Bryan, Landon Bryan, Allie Bryan, Taylor Howe, Reed Howe, Karlee Windham, and Carson Windham.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ernest Windham; her son, Larry Windham, five sisters Lena Corder, Hazel Williamson, Flora Corley, Louise Heath, and Bertha Little; and one brother, Archie Corder.
